Another lovely ride, this time after my shortest work shift ever, to the other side of town to meet my honey. Even darker and quieter, but not for a moment anything but warm and lovely, with a cool breeze and only the sound of road tires on pavement, echoing off the still river.
Best part of the ride: a damp, freshly street-cleaned bike lane, which smelled like wet summer, lightly spraying my ankles as I rode along in the dark.
